- Biography Brandon Vance, Two-time U.S. National Scottish Fiddle Champion, and multi-instrumentalist folk and jazz musician Mark Minkler have been collaborating in the Northwest for more than a decade now, and have released a beautiful album called "Beyond the Borders," an intimate album comprised of both original traditional music rooted strongly in the Scottish and Irish traditions, while allowing subtle harmonic and stylistic influences from Jazz and Classical music to seep into the fabric.
