- Biography We are part of the Vancouver Israeli Folk Dance Society and we are dedicated to exposing and teaching Israeli Dance to the community. We bring a taste of Israeli culture to a multitude of community events. The name Keff L'Olam is Hebrew for "Fun Forever" and we have been sharing the traditional dances of Israel since 1988. Israeli folk dance is very diverse, reflecting the multi-national origins of Jews who have settled in Israel. The words and music range from patriotic and political to romantic and just plain silly. There are over 4000 choreographed Israeli folk dances. Many of the oldies evoke idealistic, founding pioneer spirit. Newer dances reflect Israel's cultural potpourri, including Arabic, Yemenite, Turkish, Russian, Moroccan, American and Latin rhythm and movement. Israeli folk dance has been elevated to a national sport in Israel and it has spread throughout the world. We would like to share it with you.
