Biography When Leslie Slape was a little girl, she sneaked into the bedroom her younger sisters shared and told them stories she made up on the spot. On rainy days, she used to pull out her well-thumbed "Blue Fairy Book" and read the dialect stories in the back aloud to herself. As a journalist and playwright, Leslie interweaves Story into her life everywhere she can.
Biography Robert Rubinstein has performed at the New York Public Library; Boston Public Library, Northwest Folklife Festival in Seattle, schools in Atlanta, traveled with 41 storytellers from across the nation to China, and presented workshops at the National Storytelling Conference in Denver. He has made four recordings, published five books, and had, for 20 years, directed Eugene's Multi-Cultural Storytelling Festival.
