- Biography The Summer Januaries got their start busking the streets of Seattle, in the summer of 2011, playing Pike Place Market upwards of five days a week. Made up of two sets of musical and romantic partners, the band shoots little arrows of love to their audience in the form of ridiculously fast and fun fiddle tunes and songs. Fiddle player Rachel Sage was trained as a classical violinist at a young age, but was always drawn to fiddle music and more folk traditions. She has made these aspirations a reality for the past six years, learning folk fiddle tunes from a wide variety of sources, and busking and performing all around the Pacific Northwest.
